Job Overview
This new role is a mixture of manufacturing engineering, quality management and configuration control. You will sustain and implement products in our Fort Wayne production facility, design fixtures/jigs as necessary, and work with our QC personnel to assist analyzing problems and functionality of products and help set quality expectations. Additionally, if you are a designer and have the aptitude, you will help with our product development and project management.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement fixtures to maximize efficiency and minimize non-conformance
- Work with production staff to develop fixtures, tools, and methods to improve ergonomics and minimize fatigue
- Collaborate with production staff to define and optimize layout and material flow for new production items.
- Define and implement in-line and end-of-line quality inspections
- Generate drawings and bills of materials for production
- Generate red lines to address interim changes.
- Generate ECP’s (engineering change proposal) for production change requirements.
- Keep up to date on all modern advancement in material and software technologies
- Pursue ongoing education in the field
- Create manufacture ready data pack
- Liaise with our factories
- Test prototypes
Qualifications
- Preferred Bachelor in Engineering
- A background in Engineering with Mechanical Design experience is a plus
- Ability to see a project through to the end; formulate the solution, conquer the challenge of the design, and follow through to production
Beneficial previous experience
- CAD / CREO experience and exposure
- Tight tolerance dimensioning
- Good understanding of Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- High pressure gas design
- Compressed gas / air fired launcher design
- Weapon design (pistols, rifles, etc.)
- Lean and/or Six Sigma experience and certification

POSITION OVERVIEW
Byrna Technologies is looking for a Production Manager to organize and oversee the manufacturing of goods. This role will manage production, entail manufacturing engineering, quality management and lean / six sigma coaching. You will produce, sustain and implement products in our Fort Wayne production facility, design fixtures/jigs as necessary, work with our QC personnel to assist analyzing problems and functionality of products and help lead deployment of lean / continuous improvement (CI) culture and tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
- Monitor production to resolve issues
- Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)

POSITION OVERVIEW
We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to assist with managing manufacturing and new product development. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of the processes and procedures for operations and project management, as well as project delivery across multiple divisions and the extended value chain, including R&D, global manufacturing, and supply chain. This Project Manager will need to work closely within different levels of the organization to ensure proper scoping, planning, execution, and delivery of projects.
You Will
- Improve efficiency to bring products to market.
- Assess, plan, execute, and close multiple projects while meeting QDC (quality, cost, delivery) objectives.
- Work closely with cross functional teams to drive change and boost effectiveness of project roll out.
- Leads preparation of documentation including detailed reports, timelines, and slide decks for key meetings including meetings to decide on milestones and decision points.
- Create technical documentation such as spec sheets to share cross-functionally to support the roll out of new products.
- Design and implement build procedures to aid in product creation and use. The development of internal configuration standards and training others to use configuration management tools may also be required.
- Prior experience maintaining and updating processes and procedures.
- Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customer and changing business needs.
- Fulfill multiple other roles as necessary to help the effectiveness of the team.
- Work in a R&D environment.
Communication
- Ensure complete and thorough pre-production planning and distribution of all documents in accordance with the production (R&D) process.
- Conduct ongoing meetings/onsite inspections during the project’s life cycle to review problems, monitor progress, ensure compliance with contract documents, and specifications.
- Be the point person to coordinate R&D, production, and supply chain.

- Competent with MS products (word, excel, powerpoint))
- Able to quickly learn SmartSheets, Windchill, Creo, SAP, Netsuite and other necessary software tools to create organization and efficiency within the department.
