Job Overview
Byrna is a growing technology company focused on the manufacture of non-lethal, state-of-the-art self-defense devices. We currently have Product Assembly Positions for experienced assemblers at our new facility in Ft. Wayne. Hours are M-F 8:30AM - 5PM, with a paid 15min break, and a 30min lunch break.

Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic professional who is ready to join an exceptional organization experiencing rapid growth. This role is a high impact and high visibility role. The Sr. Manager of Accounting will report to the Corporate Controller and will lead M&A integration, provide guidance for US GAAP related matters and questions, as well as plan, prepare and implement accounting standards. Additionally, this individual will need to be flexible to roll up their sleeves and support the monthly/quarterly accounting close process.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Performing general ledger account reconciliation and analysis;
Preparing / reviewing journal entries, monthly closings, monthly financial statements and related reporting;
Processing month-end balancing and completing the month-end process;
Preparing P&L, balance sheet, cash flows, equity & related supporting schedules; balance sheet, P&L and cash forecasting including monthly variance and fluctuation analysis;
Monitoring and analyzing the department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy;
Participating in and leading annual audits and quarterly reviews done by external auditors;
Developing and implementing policies and procedures with emphasis on internal controls;
Complying with US GAAP requirements;
Providing leadership to all employees and developing / mentoring the accounting team as needed;
Performing special projects and other duties as assigned (disclosure checklists, 3rd party bank reporting packages / covenant calculations and others if/when required).
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Required
Demonstrable experience in acquisition
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; Master’s degree a plus
CPA, strong knowledge of GAAP
Experience within or auditing publicly traded companies
Strong computer skills including advanced Excel skills
6 - 8+ years’ experience in accounting (P&L, financial reporting, fixed assets, etc.)
Strong technical, analytical, communication and presentation skills
Experience in public accounting (preferred)
Internal control policy
Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions
Demonstrated ability to work in and with high-performing teams
Independent and self-starter with a “can-do” attitude

Job Overview
The objective of the QC Technician is to ensure timely, accurate, and proper documentation of the Quality Control Program in support of production. The Quality Control Technician will monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing products and materials, inspecting, analyzing measurements of critical components, conducting performance testing, and recording all findings. Understanding the manufacturing process and our products and having the aptitude to recommend enhancements to quality and performance, with the focus of increasing customer satisfaction are key success factors in this role.
Responsibilities
Perform routine and repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality levels at various stages of production.
Inspect in-process and/or finished production assemblies and sub-assemblies for conformance to quality assurance standards.
Read and follow visual instructions, engineering change notices, or established operating procedures, determine acceptance or rejection of product.
Work under close supervision of Manufacturing supervisor or other designated supervisor.
Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
Inspection of incoming raw materials and production components
Inspection of production components
Sub and Final Assembly Product Inspection
Follow quality assurance policies and procedures and reporting required changes
Record and determine if product or production is in tolerance and take corrective actions
Work closely with maintenance to make necessary changes to machines
Work on production floor issues and resolve in a timely fashion
Aid in the development, implementation, and maintenance of visual workstations.
Perform receiving, in-process and final inspection of welded or assembled units
Develop inspection criteria
Perform product layout inspections without assistance
Instruct plant personnel in proper inspection techniques and procedures
Audit paperwork. Compile and maintain master log of history records
Maintain gauges, measuring and test devices
Adjust and prioritize work to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Work with Plant personnel on a daily basis to resolve quality issues
Inspect/pull all fixtures daily prior to production
Inspect/put away all fixtures after production is completed
Inspect production components for daily production
Inspect incoming material/components
Log/track nonconformities and create CARs for incoming components
Log/track daily quality production issues related to welding
Log/track misc. issues related to daily production (fixtures, components, material)
Log/track external issues from customers and create CAR and determine Root Cause
Cross training of QC Techs in other departments/areas
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Basic knowledge of manufacturing and production assembly lines

Qualifications
1-2+ years in quality control
Act as assistant/liaison to other departments for matters concerning product quality, documentation, and discrepancy resolution.
Reporting, either in a verbal or documented, anomalies in work accomplished.
Data collection, Statistical Process Control charting/reporting as required.
Performance of calibration efforts and related documentation.
Performance of incoming inspection functions as required.
Control and document all facets of the Non-Conforming Material System.
Works with Tool Room and Secondary Operations when machining, inserting and assembly for work in progress.
Works closely with the Engineering Production Staff to maintain smooth operations through adherence to procedures and all applicable regulatory standards.
Understand the applicable UL, CE, LVD, FCC global compliance and safety standards for each product being inspected.
Maintain and modify equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency.
Assist in the generation of quality or corrective action reports.
Maintain security and integrity of quarantined components or products.
Work with outside vendors and suppliers inside and outside the engineering field.
Submit End of Day summary reports.
