The launcher adds just over three-quarters of an inch to the overall length compared to the original CL, yet delivers rounds at speeds up to 400 feet per second.

Thanks to the larger CO₂ cartridge, the CL-XL can achieve up to 17 effective shots per cartridge, depending on environmental conditions. This increase in capacity provides users with extended readiness in dynamic situations.
