Even with a concealed carry permit, Byrna is Patrick’s first choice for home-defense.
Patrick lives in an apartment and does not feel safe utilizing a firearm, given the close proximity to his neighbors.
“I was afraid of secondary or collateral damages and hurting my neighbors,” he explained.
Patrick views Byrna as more than an option for home-defense, he said he also takes it on walks with his dogs.
“I live in a very nice town, and the parks are really good. As I said, I have a concealed carry. So, I’m very used to having my 9mm with me. I don’t want to shoot that,” he said.
“I would prefer to use non-lethal 99 percent of the time. There are times where I carry both and if the situation escalates then I have the ability to do that.”
Patrick said that based on his own experience, he recommends the Byrna to all his friends and community members. He believes the Byrna is a perfect fit for someone who doesn’t like guns or wants an effective non-lethal supplement to their existing self-defense tools. Plus, he said he loves that you can train from your backyard.
